Now THATS a good question.
Given its in an alluvial channel with definite signs of the very occasional water flow generally there is ground water (aquifer/brine) from sub surface springs (either side of the alluvial fans ?) that runs underground and obviously downhill. There must be cos theyve found decent rich brines.
So any pump rate will depend on the ability of the aquifer containing the brine, to flow thru the more permeable strata. Thats why one needs to be able to interpret those strata permeability numbers. Note that the annmnt also mentioned that the lower levels had FRACTURED sediments which usually flow better depending on the DIRECTION OF FRACTURE. Fractures can also run vertically as well as horizontally ! But if its fractured in both direction then they should get good transmission of the fluids thru these lower strata.
One would think the flow at the bottom end of the channel height-wise, being at the lowest point of the tenament, would flow the best due to gradient and gravity. Much here will depend on the ability of those rich bottom brine layers to essentially flow well enuf to either flow from the well or be pumped.
Has a geo study been done on this channel? (I would say the CSMAT(?) would tell them a fair bit on whats going on geologically too) I would find it hard to believe these guys didnt run the geo basics over this geology before they started chucking the companies cash into the drill program. Also find it hard to believe they would spruik it as a potential new Li brine discovery unless they were pretty certain it was going to flow decently. they will look like a bunch of pelicans if it flows but not enuf for it to be economically pumped.
And THATS the big question for me too atm.
