2019 AMEC Award Finalists announced
The Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC) has announced the finalists for their prestigious industry awards at the upcoming AMEC Awards Dinner to be held on Thursday 5 December at the State Reception Centre in Kings Park.
“The Awards Dinner is a great opportunity for our industry to celebrate the outstanding contributors to mineral exploration and mining” says Warren Pearce, Chief Executive Officer of AMEC.
”This year we are pleased to announce the return of the prestigious AMEC Prospector Award 2019, It's been three years since this award was last presented and this is a wonderful sign for our industry.
”“The finalists of the AMEC Prospector Award 2019 are Liontown Resources Limited and Peel Mining Limited. Both finalists have outstanding discoveries that show that our exploration industry is recovering”.
The finalists for the new AMEC Community Contribution Award have also been announced.
They are Emmerson Resources, Mineral Resources, Fortescue Metals Group and a joint project from Australian Vanadium, Westgold Resources and Sandfire Resources. “This new award reflects the increasing importance of partnerships between mineral exploration and mining companies and the communities they operate in”.
The highly regarded AMEC Environment Award and AMEC Media Awards will also be presented at the dinner.
