EU currently are reconsidering their dependency on russian gas.. there is a real security threat for the rest of the world from aggressive russian regime at the moment, which would potentially easily outweight all the climate change targets for the nearest future...
almost impossible the sanctions and potential embargo on russian energy products would be eased any time soon, even if the war suddenly stops... there is absolutely no reliance on russian government at the moment from the rest of the world shown, they are determined to punish this aggression by all means..
what makes me think that coal will likely to come back into play for the next few years if not for the whole decade ahead while the new ways of energy products supply are established... that means rising demand for coal, the industry is back with coal prices to be potentially correlated with gas prices which are already at the records levels ever, just like coal by the way.. and i do not see it ending any time soon..
