Another major factor is each of these start-ups are nearly fully self managed, like a separate business unit which is owned by the zgl brand.
Thus zgl's only management accountability is basically funding allowances, ensuring progress and delays are in line with expectations and product marketing is done via suitable channels.
The actual work will be done by the business unit itself. No real issue here imo. Many companies operate this way,
