actually, Peter,s main thrust re manganese was the development of a new battery that utilises Mn as both cathode and anode , and potentially has better power output versus weight than current Li battery’s.
how far along this development is, and whether it will deliver these types of game changing advances, I couldn’t say . Nor in what timeframe.
but he seems to believe it will create enormous demand for Mn.
For myself, I see Mn as an industrial mineral, of low value, and geographically widely found. No shortage that I’m aware of.
i just don’t see the value for a company of MKGs size to expend funds now chasing it…..
