Taking stock after a tumultuous week - the market clearly understood Emma's capabilities!
To recap... She appoints herself (as a reminder she was on the Nominations committee as a NED prior to taking the role) and almost instantly destroys two thirds of the companies market cap.
She wastes millions on consultants to write a "strategy" that was incomprehensible despite describing herself as having a career as a strategy expert. The EML management and employees run for the hills which results in no progress on the CBI front, destroys the sales pipeline, ups the cost base to unsustainable levels and then finally gets fired after 9 months (finally albeit one of the shortest tenures for an ASX CEO). What a disaster.
Then after she leaves we celebrate getting one third of our share price back in a week.... which whilst positive, leaves us a long was behind from when Emma started. A strong contender for the worst CEO on the ASX.
