That is the point of corruption - if the gears of the state are not strong enough, money can overcome the limitations defined within a law, or to create perceived gaps within the law for which more money can even prevent from being plugged up.

A documentary aired on YouTube this week partially involving Kabila and the DRC, it is called "Gold Mafia" produced by Al Jazeera. This may give you some idea the wealth that can be stolen from a hopeful, but poor African nation (or nations) by individual actors. Imagine what a state actor whose funds are virtually limitless can do.

The good people of the DRC need to stand up over this, or forever be swallowed up and like they were with the Belgians and others before them, yet again become a colony, slaves to non-African people. AVZ as far as I can see are the only party that has openly attempted to work with, and provide benefit to, the people of the DRC.

Something to think about if you are Congolese and reading this message. Being a slave was hell on earth for your forefathers, is that where you want to take your children, and your children's children?
