As crazy as it sounds one of the largest hurdles AVZ faced may have been the lithium price. In mid-2020 the share price was 6c, lithium spodumene at that time was around US400/t. In no-time the spodumene price increased over 1000%, that coincided with AVZ confirming the quality of the deposit. They went from nobody taking much notice of what they were up to, to having the spotlight on them and their new found treasure. If AVZ had a little more time to get their ducks in a row before lithium skyrocketed they may have had it in the bag. At the end of the day they found it, they should be able to participate in the project and share in the spoils. However much bigger fish are trying to steal their catch, sometimes the fair outcome is not the way things play-out.
