You are trying to apply the rules of western justice to a corrupt country - The government could chose not to abide by civil court rulings in other countries. I am not saying it will happen but they could just rule that its not in the national interest to award the mining licence to a joint venture that's warring amongst themselves and the lithium stays in the ground for however long it takes for the legal stoushes and appeals to run its course.

the fact that its not fair if AVZ has spent $100m or $500m on proving up the resource doesn't count for much in a country like the DRC.
