Why all the excitement about the joint venture? Pitchblende had the best interpretation, in that TORO do not have to spend any of their remaining cash for the next couple of years on a long term project in a far off country.
Far better to concentrate on proving the WA and SA sites and speed up the mining process if warranted. As regards a merger,I don't think the management and staff would be pushing for that, a rationalisation would be necessary causing loss of jobs and demotion.
Think back to the NOVA merger,it diluted TORO's shares from around 150 million to 500 million. Although they brought along some cash, the cost of the merger plus the tax for the purchase just about wiped that out. The whole thing was a risk as the WA projects would have been as dead as the Queensland uranium projects if it was not for the fluky Labour loss last Sept.
Let us have less of the single line "cheers for TORO" posts and think constructively of what the announcements mean. I thank Pitchblende for putting himself out to explain that red patches on the map did not mean U3O8 galore as suggested by some posts.
