Back in 2012 NSW Government gave approval for Crown to increase its stake (then Echo Entertainment) to 23%. As I recall it did the same for Genting (Malaysia) in 2015, after Barangaroo had been granted a licence to operate and Crown had sold their existing 10% stake in Echo.
As I understand, neither party ended up not taking their offer. I presume that Crown (or Genting) could still buy up to 23% stake in SGR if they wanted? Can anyone confirm this?
