If ECT produced 12,500 tpa of char there would be no carbon left to sell as, for example, graphitic carbon. Also, as GrapheneX has failed to deliver the gas turbine which would have been fuelled by the syngas produced by the kiln, ECT has no onsite customer to sell the syngas to. The sale of syngas to anyone but near neighbours is very problematic, particularly for such a small quantity. ECT would be much better off using the syngas as process fuel.
