You have missed the point.
Fact is not every Mining Company is Mali has successfully renegotiated their Convention.
Fact is the Mali Prime Minister and government has resigned in the last week.
Fact is the currently nothing is being processed in Mali.
Just getting the Convention signed is a master stroke! When I read the announcement I wondered why the reference to the Mali “Official Journal”. Now I know.
I don’t know if the RSG Convention and Permit are better than anyone else’s (has there been anyonelse under the new 2012 code?) and, unlike you, I take JW at his word: this Convention represents “improved fiscal terms”.
At least ten years of stability locked in.
