That’s a fairly positive news. Let’s be honest, there is barely any market right now for bulk graphene supply and the VFD, and any small offtake or deal is a welcome development.
Cheap graphene being sort of a new product with incredible potential, on which FGR created significant barrier to entry (vein supply agreement and mining licence, patented production method that do not appear to have competition for this quality of graphene at this price), they are, like for and Iphone or Instagram, in a sller’s market. They create the need with their new offering, therefore, they also have to create the market (the reason why the IP focus is a smart move).
Also happy to see them sign deals with multiple small companies instead of a sole giant tech behemoth that will set the terms and make them dependant. It could be longer term, but I am looking at sales slowly picking up until FGR has enough demand to set the price.
Main risk remains on the research front if an American or Chinese university comes up with a very cheap way to make graphene by artificial means.
