What would be the reasons for a consolidation? Wouldn't a buyback be a better option for all shareholders?
I also don't see the good in consolidations - two which i can think of are CAD and GXY. Both didn't do well after it was finalised.
Does consolidation happen because of too many shares floating around? Or is it for more cash? I don't really understand why companies do it...
