I hope there's an element of sarcasm there in your post. Its fine to be idealistic but reality and facts get in the way. I don't like the present manipulation of companies shares either. Gdoggy's complaints will be as significant as a grain of sand in the Sahara. Nothing is about to change. That is reality. The Coalition gov has cut ASIC funds so they are almost useless. For the gov, its not a good look to start more regulations on free enterprise and free markets. As for the Labour party, yes they can start some inquiries about manipulation but at the end of the day, they will also look at what the electorate wants which is mostly little interference and less regulations. Perhaps they will increase funding so ASIC has slightly sharper teeth, but its not like governments will be flush with funds any time soon.

On the flip side, there is also the manipulation from the trader groups who almost totally control trading for a couple of days on penny dreadfuls like FNT. Does Gdoggy, ASIC, hotcopper and most large holders complain. No they don't. All you see is plenty of ramping financial advice here during those times. Like I said before, to buy into something like FNT, you have to expect almost anything. No point in complaining if you have done the research.
