if it’s freehold land, there is no access to surface rights unless the landholder consents and this will normally require some form of payment. No court can force the consent of a landholder. The locals are very much aware of the value of mineral projects and are sandwiches between the giant FQM Ravensthorpe operations and the Mt Cattlin Lithium Mine.
this needs a skilled negotiator who understands farmers and mining. Those skills are generally absent in the cafe dwelling juniors of west Perth and Subiaco.
