Let me dumb it down to you....

EXR pays events like this from the Shareholders pocket money to present their stories...so, its a shareholder's spent.

These stories are called around the traps for decades "the pinochio stories" its a little saying that houses uses.

Houses then go to these events to watch the Pinochio stories from many companies. If the Pinochio story is of interested and might be a good short/medium/long term money return, houses will approach the Pinochios or vice and versa...
Many times, the houses will tell the Pinochios to change the stories a little bit so when the house start pumping it, usually, the SP can sustain periods of euphoria from usually the sheep aka retailers....

Houses will have free stock and fees in exchange for the pump..... Pinochio Stories are a art and can be well engineered. Especially when a company is on their last stages of falling thru the abism and the stock price is so fragile that might get to low cents and even below.

So there you go...... Pinochio stories... houses love it..... events bring $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
