Agree - a filter press from Metso that is only achieving 50% of its rated capacity can only be because someone at Alara has given Metso the wrong information about composition, reagents, grind size etc. I'm half expecting that they specced the tailings filter press with Metso and then subsequently changed another parameter such as reagents and then didn't revisit the tailings filter press - "its only the tailings filter press - if the changes mean we only get 90% of the water back to reuse then that will be OK" - and now our entire plant is only running at 50% capacity because of all things the tailings filter press isn't working as expected.
