delay costs 3 months x 35%
about 1 month of production is lost due to a 3 month delay.

then 7 months later, hoping for the super whopper to allow 100% utilisation.
why the horsesheet they call it standby???
anyway, 100 minus 85 is 15%
7 months x 15% is about 100% or 1 full month of lost productivity.

so, delays do cost but don't cost much overall.
once problem identifed, solution found, and begin implementing, the cost is minimised.
most damage has already been done from the start of commissioning.
