INOVIQ’S NEW CANCER TREATMENT KILLS 88% OF BREAST AND
LUNG CANCER CELLS IN LAB TESTS
• INOVIQ has developed a new cancer treatment using exosomes – tiny particles that help
deliver targeted therapies.
• In lab studies, this treatment destroyed 88% of cells from two aggressive cancers:
➢ Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) (Figure 1); and
➢ Lung Cancer (Figure 2).
INOVIQ Limited (ASX: IIQ) is pleased to announce a major milestone in its exosome therapeutic
program. In recent in vitro studies, INOVIQ’s CAR-exosomes demonstrated exceptional efficacy,
killing 88% of TNBC and lung cancer cells within 96 hours.
This marks a major success for INOVIQ’s new platform, showing it works well against two solid
tumours.
The treatment:
• Uses engineered immune cell particles called CAR-NK-EVs;
• These particles are designed to target and kill cancer cells more precisely; and
• INOVIQ uses a special method called EXO-ACE™ to produce and purify these particles for
quality and shelf life.
Going forward this could lead to an ‘off the shelf’ therapy made in advance and used on many
patients – unlike other treatments that must be customised.
It could be:
• Faster to produce;
• Safer to use; and
• More effective than traditional cell therapies like CAR-T.
The treatment will now be tested in mice to see how it works in living systems. Animal studies are
the next step before human clinical trials.
