I found the above tough to decipher. I have learnt a ton about orogenic gold deposits over the last couple of days. I hope this helps you all gain a better understanding of how monumental this could potentially be for GCY. All the signs are very encouraging!
The high silica content in the high grade shear zone indicates an explosive volcanic eruption in the Gilbeys zone (regional) some time in the Archean era.

Just a little recap.
Basically at some stage in the Archean era there was an explosive seismic event around the Gilbeys deposit. These explosive events are not common and often result in higher concentrations of mineralisations such as gold. It is not unusual for these (higher grade and generally thinner) orogenic deposits to measure in the km's.
Another interesting fact:
The term "hitting the mother lode" was actually derived from this style of mineralisation.
