The con note has definitely played a big role here but this imo is purely sentiment driven. If it was just GBZ I would be more concerned but several other great gold explorers have been oversold to the max purely through market sentiment toward gold explorers.
Look at STN just recently hit 16m MC with 1.5m oz deposit which is rapidly expanding, proven management with a decent shareholding in the company, just like GBZ.
This is bargain buying here, Contrarian investing at its best, especially if you don't believe the US dollar can go much higher from here.
In the last 6months Central banks have shown us their thoughts on the dollar and decided to fill their coffers with Au bars instead
