A good example of where a new high grade gold discovery can occur is at Lyell.
The recent soil sampling by the CSIRO has found a 1.4km long strike anomaly.
Lyell goldfields produced 91,000Oz of gold (valued today at $A2,290/Oz = $A208million. at 17 grams per tonne, with picks and shovels between 1874-1911 pre WWI.
