If your shares are in a SMSF you should pay 15% US tax but you need to fill out a W-BEN form. I currently have to do that for Resmed. The issue I have is I need my HIN # to complete it and Computershare have not provided it or made it available on their website. I assume it will come by snail mail. Just hope I have enough time to complete the W BEN form so I am not liable for the 30% tax for the next Div..
Another downside of this take over is the lack of Tax Imputation for Australian holders.
