Quicklink Communications is a leading Middle Eastern telecommunications provider delivering enterprise-class services to governments and corporations across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The commitment is for the purchase of US$40.2 million of transmission capacity on the Jabiru-1 satellite over three years.

This US$40 million contract is another key step forward in the launch of Jabiru-1 and follows the recently signed 3A Technology US$134 million contract and TrustComms US$105 million contract. The three cornerstone contracts totalling US$279 million, will underpin the export credit agency backed debt financing, to build and launch the satellite. NewSats vision of becoming a global satellite operator is on the verge of being realised.

The network expansions from mobile operators, enterprise networks for governments and corporations and the demand for Internet, are the growth markets throughout the Middle East and Africa and with the help of Jabiru-1, Quicklink Communications is set to capture them.
