I agree.
I wish they would just get on and treat some UTI patients. They seem to add endless cohorts of healthy volunteers.
These faster infusions are at half the total dose of the highest 1 hour dose from the first trial. I'm expecting peak plasma concentrations of around 400ug/L from the 15 min 3,000mg infusion. Which is still not great, only above MIC for 2 of the ESKAPE pathogens, and probably not for long enough anyway.
327 shows great promise for UTIs, especially at the 6,000mg 1 hour dose - wonder how much more time they'll waste before dosing some actual UTI patients.
As for sepsis, they should go back to the drawing board and come up with a formulation with a longer plasma half-life.
