Just an explanation that some might find useful when thinking about the technology and what Xbio actually is and does.

Take a military analogy. You have an enemy, entrenched in fortified and fixed positions in a town over the hill (maybe thinking of a WW2 context is best here to keep it simple). The enemy is the bacteria, the fixed positions are the biofilm.

You can can choose to dislodge the enemy with a ‘big gun’ approach. This will involve the use of artillery, air strikes etc. This approach has benefits. It works. It’s simple. But it has drawbacks. It’s not likely to be effective first time, there will be remnants and survivors. You may have to go back again. This will mean collateral damage and higher damage to infrastructure. Remember, you don’t want to destroy the town, just remove the enemy. The big gun is antibiotics. The collateral damage is increased healing time, the wearing down of the body’s defences and increased antibiotic resistance - all negatives.

or you could go with the infiltrate and weaken approach. You send in spies / covert operatives. They cut power, set explosive charges in key defensive areas and weaken the defences. When you target your raid, the defences are in tatters and the enemy quickly falls back, much more quickly than they would have done if you had employed the Big gun tactic. The town is relatively unscathed. It resumes normal function more quickly. This is how the Xbio tech works. It’s the combination of the delivery mechanism and the treatment itself that drives its effectiveness.
