This looks like all the same actors and all the same actions as 18 months ago. But now with the ICC case having been withdrawn, Terramin's probability of benefit from all this has gone backwards. At the very least Terramin should have got a net result of most of their $50m back, and possibly some compensation on top, as well as blocking any potential shenanigans.

NFC were going to fix everything previously, including buying out Terramin's interest at a knock-down price. And then they weren't. And now they are again, at the price of Terramin de-blocking the ICC proceedings. Wasn't it Einstein that said the definition of insanity was to keep trying the same thing with an expectation of a different outcome?

It would not be a surprise to see Terramin walking away from Tala Hamza completely empty handed, with NFC doing a separate deal with the Algerians now that the ICC case has been withdrawn. When do the Chinese celebrate Christmas?

All it needs now is to hear that Moriarty is back in the frame and I will call it a day.
