MC is determined by share price. MC does not determine share price.
The value of something is what someone is prepared to pay for it. People don't purchase market caps. As I said it is good for peer comparisons. You might use a MC to assist in determining fair value however it is only one part of the picture. Someone else's MC can be at that level for many reasons so is only a small part of the overall assessment criteria but to each their own.
