Are you talking about averaging down? Which I've sworn not to do but still it works sometimes.
I assume your talking about buying back after trading in and out which can be highly profitable (which was what hanktanson was referring to). A shame for @hanktanson that he bought high & sold low on this occasion , but has nothing to do with buying back in after a trade.
All my personal opinion.
