Hi Kaeho
Not sure where you are getting your info but I don't believe MLX's share price went up because of the Ni & Co - their NI/Co project is miles off in my view with capital cost to develop $1 billion+. The price rose because they recently reported some progress in turning Nifty around. Today they also announced excellent drill results at Renison Bell, their 50% owned tin mine. Basically Renison is a cash cow and doing very well, whilst Nifty (Cu mine) is currently a chronic underperformer and is consuming all the positive cashflow being generated by Renison plus more. Management is desperately trying to turn Nifty's performance around. I don't believe MLX has lots of cash - indeed they have just recently borrowed $30 million from Citibank (there first loan for a very long time) to assist with turning Nifty around.
