I manufacture brass components which has approx 60% copper, I use about 1/2 tonne a month and I can tell you that in the last 10 years my price has been approx $8.50kg ± 10%. If it was to jump 20 to 30% higher I will stop manufacturing. At the same time I watch the copper prices just to keep my suppliers in check and my assumption would be that copper prices cannot move much higher than what they are today. Again that is why this mine has to be full production and run efficiently.
Below Copper peaked just after GFC but looks like it has averaged out and holding.
