Yes - probably unlikely that they would be changing charter flights operators now - which would be the only reason why people are being told that flights to Nifty may be discontinued - too much of a co-incidence isn't it? Currently Virgin Australia Regional F100 service twice a week from Perth (on Tues and Thurs afternoons), surely they will have another service or two next week to demobilize the current workforce or shifts that are on? Might be worth watching the Perth departures web site on Tues to see if a flight operates (and if one is scheduled for Thurs).
I got stopped out earlier but wouldn't be surprised either by a trading halt, then followed by the MLX SP maybe even leaping out of the blocks upwards if a C&M shutdown at Nifty is eventually confirmed.
If a shutdown is announced for Nifty, anyone hazard a guess as to when that decision was made?
