If this latest announcement was deemed as serious as most posters believe, it would have been a trading halt. This is what any good CEO would do - inform the market and shareholders of a material, albeit not defining, change in circumstances.
Copper is going to be a key metal for the electrification of society - BHP's new CEO today nominated copper as one of its three big pillars. If MLX can get Nifty through to 2020 producing 30K tonnes as the price starts to rise, everyone here will be cheering.
I reckon the CEO is doing a great job. This is a large remote mine that has been badly abused and run down.
