The copper price now is almost double the price in $A than it was when Nifty shut down, if it was Circa $7 k then? I have not checked. Right now, on the LME it is US$8,900 or at $A at about 67 cents, about $13,200/ton. I think you might have meant double and mistyped half? If Nifty was full of water, which I don't think it is, when it was in operation a lot of money had been spent renewing just about everything. Its been under C&M hasnt it? Or not? I don't think they would have let it fill up with water. There are newish pumps down there. There have been photos of copper rich steam down there somewhere. Would be extremely unintelligent to do that.
