Agree @FreeflyerNZ, the update was anything but fluffy.
For me, it was refreshing to get the level of detail openly provided, and partly read like a promo to all those perhaps looking for some nice coin work to give Nifty a second look.
- Legacy safety and environmental issues being addressed
- Clean up with scrap collected ready for sale
- Spares and consumables stocktake revealing significant inventory
- Concrete batching & SX-EW plant refurbs well in hand
- Accomodation, dry mess, dining area and laundry all upgraded
- 4G services enabled
Giving apprentices a go is great credit to CYM, and a must all around the country to keep Australia's skilled workforce at a consistent level with no peaks and troughs that damage our national productivity. Sadly, many workplaces do not support this, and certainly TAFE has suffered in my home state of NSW.
Like a Barry Cahill interview, it doesn't forget to say thanks for all the hard work, mundane perhaps, being done to bring the camp up to spec. While many companies are happy to spotlight attention on the big ticket resource and finance items, I get the feeling Nifty would be a great place to work, being clean and safe, well stocked, with solid comfortable facilities, an engaged workforce and a supportive management team appreciative of all the grunt work done.
