The tenements are 1km2, i.e. 1000m x 1000m!
You couldn't even build the mine (if there is gold there), the ROM area, settlement ponds and all the infrastructure, etc.
Hope there is a gold processing plant within 15km, otherwise uneconomic.
Nearby is Mungana which went broke, so good was the mining - NOT.
But maybe we might strike gold. Probably better off buying a lottery ticket.
How much gold is being produced in PNG at the moment? No news on that front. And if gold found, hope all getting to the processing plant.
