In a letter dated 18 July 2002 to the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Industry and Resources in Canberra, at that time a John Woodward signed as Director, stating "my company is a small privately-owned and funded entity attempting to establish a marble mining and processing industry in Chillagoe in North Queensland."
