This may or may not have any bearings on how future facilities and hook-ups will be executed. Having said that, it is general practice to have the lines above surface, easy detection of issues, leaks etc. when buried, you have to dig trenches first, and then when there is a problem, you have to dig it all up again. That takes a lot of time, I am happy that the company has chosen for a more speedier execution of the process. It is amazing, but the larger wildlife out there just don't go crashing into obstacles, they tenderly step over stuff. The smaller wild life I don't care about too much, in general they don't eat metal pipe. They may eat cladding, but that is now easily detectable.

Not that it's a speedier way to execute and install the pilot wells...it's that it is the standard and how it's done globally. Burying wellpad infrastructure is an extremely odd idea.
