Ah, thank you, couldn't understand what slugging meant in a CSG well. The water needs to be pumped to surface using a downhole pump at or near the end of the production tubing. The released gas from desorption then travels up the annulus, outside the production tubing. Now if the pump is set to high, and there is sufficient gas production, the pump will see gas and water, not ideal for a water pump, hence slugging, water and gas in the production tubing. Remedy is pull string and place pump a bit deeper, but not to deep, possible production of coal fines is not ideal for such a pump either, one wants the fines to drop to the bottom of the well.
