It looks to me like most of the direct benefits to AGL come from the Vocus's Australian Consumer division, they dont need Wholesale and Enterprise, or New Zealand.
In a way it make more sense for them to want to buy just that division, and some have been calling for some time for consumer brands to be sold off. I dont want to see the company split, but at the same time im not convinced AGL have much of idea or vision for the other divisions.
If it gets to the voting stage for a takeover, i will be looking for AGL to commit to giving E&W, and NZ a fair amount of autonomy for a few years, to give the current management a chance to deliver, and give AGL some time to wrap their heads around how things work.
