my concern is actually CGT more than anything else, actually sitting on large capital gains for PDL.
my other concern has been (the lack) of franking credits on dividends
PDL really was undervalued (yield near 10%) and had quite healthy metrics (PE constantly > 10% etc). l don't expect fireworks for PPT looks to be about the same $ that l held it years ago but does have franking.
the process is this 1) PPT offer 2) PDL reject 3) PPT offer more... (hopefully PDL accept or we sell the shares and create a tax issue).
you can still buy PDL or take out a position in PPT it's falling quite a lot
