I agree, some of the investments they've made in recent times are not that great and questionable.
But thats investing, you can't get it right 100% of the time.... all you need is 40% of your investments to be multibaggers and rest can be S$#t and you will still come out on top..
I also don't like this deal, some of the investments Sol made in the past in the financial space didnt turn out well, but like what Rob said to disgruntle shareholders that hated him for holding NHC just a few years ago... if you dont like then just sell....
I do think they know what they are doing, Sol Patt's ultimate goal is to create an ever lasting cash machine and they think healthcare/aging population and also finance are some of the key areas that can generate perpetual cash flows..... I just hope they're not overly confident and go in with a bid thats excessively expensive....
time will tell, we do have 100 years of history on our side..... who knows....
