Ramsay Health Care's CFO and local CEO to exit

The news: Hospital operator Ramsay Health Care has announced the departure of its chief financial officer Martyn Roberts and Australia chief executive Carmel Monaghan, as part of a leadership restructure under new managing director and group CEO Natalie Davis.
The numbers: Roberts will leave Ramsay after five years at the company to pursue other opportunities, the company said.
Monaghan intends to retire in mid-2025 after 27 years at Ramsay and nearly five years leading its Australian business.
The context: Ramsay said the departures presented an opportunity to realign the company's operational structure to better position the business for the future.
The new structure will see two new senior roles created — a chief operating officer and a chief commercial officer — both reporting to Davis, who replaced Ramsay's former CEO Craig McNally late last year.
The restructure, which is due to be implemented by mid-2025, is aimed at strengthening the group's focus on its core Australian hospital business.
