Since 2006 he has pursued various private investment interests and has been a director of and consultant to a number of companies. He has acted as advisor on a number of takeover situations.

Which provides the distinct impression that Hancox’s special offering is deal advice, and that, for some reason, that advice is no longer required, just 6 months after Hancox offered himself for re-election to the NEU Board.

As pointed out by others, Bruce Hancox is still a NED of Biotech Capital.

But it’s perhaps worth noting that he was also an Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Medical Australia Ltd (MLA) until six weeks ago, when the company was suspended from trading after being acquired by US-based ICU Medical Inc. Hancox and the MLA Board unanimously recommended the acquisition offer, which represented a 30% premium to the 15 day VWAP, when it was first announced in August 2017. If comments on HC reflected shareholder sentiment fairly, long term holders were left distinctly unimpressed by the takeover.
