Sounds like the whole integrity of the shortfall should be questioned.
Why say there was a shortfall when share holders are getting money returned. Why not just call it for what it is an allocation to the underwriter.
No doubt during the rights issue process they watched metal prices continue to firm. Then thought this is too sweet to miss out on.
