At A$175 per hour, if he works a 40 hour week (or more like many executives) then his pay is the equivalent of $175 x 40 hrs x 48 weeks = $ 336,000 per year. Add the directors fee and you have $436,000 per year. Maybe he will work less hours, but who really knows until we see the result?
For many years, I've interpreted what AAU says in good faith. I'm still not sure whether what has been done to get to where AAU is is a mix of bad luck and and imperfect judgement or something more sinister, but there is just too much that hasn't gone as advertised to not be skeptical about anything AAU says will happen. Proof of financing for the any of the mines could change this. But I think I'd still be wary.
