My memory is that the company said that they are taking samples for the ColoSTAT test at the same time the participants undergo their FIT test and colonoscopy and those samples are put into storage. When they have sufficient participants - originally it was supposed to be one thousand but they say that are negotiating with the TGA for a lesser number - they will test the samples using the latest version of ColoSTAT. I think the biggest improvements to ColoSTAT in recently times have been to include lifestyle data into the algorithm. Obviously they want to compare the product that they intend to commercialise with the FIT test results and colonoscopy results.
