You have made a hell of a lot of assumptions in that post and most of them defy logic. Raising 40 million on SEM is like raising 40 million anywhere.
If you used your own skewed figurings and then applied that to the USA's 19.39 trillion USD GDP against Australia then raisings would be in the same boat here. But it's not.
Have you ever heard of international trading? Look it up some time. I buy shares in the US London and Hong Kong. Why is SEM any different? SEM plays their game in US dollars. That is a nice benefit to being involved there.
Money is money and people with money to invest don't give a damn if it is in country A's market or Country B's market.
